In the beginning

I was a primeval dot in the Universe
In the beginning, if the Universe began
Because I ripped myself apart
In glorious combustion,
Then how did I come to be there In the beginning?

Title:

Poetry of Rain by ~EarthMother4742

The poetry of rain washes within me
Like the falling notes of a lost lullaby
The sheet music disintegrating in cold strokes
Of a sad memory being washed away

The flame has eternally gone out
Only to be rekindled by a drought

Made of a sun of untold longing
And a desert of unspoken desires

But now it is only raining
The sky that is my soul is overcast
To know love would be the wind
Blowing these clouds of depression away

I long to dream beneath this wet caress
To sooth the loneliness that erodes
The loosely stitched outline of my heart
Letting loose monsters of emotions I wanted locked away

Let this rain form a river
Weaving over and under my cold skin
Enclosing me in a web of a lost world
That shall never be discovered to become the new

Allow this rain to drown me
To fill my empty eyes with something to see
Besides the memories
For they blind my mind into thinking there is hope

Let this rain
Wash away the sins of my past
Let this rain
Cleanse me so that I may know again

Don't shelter me from it
For it will seep right through
Digging and flooding and chilling
Till I am nothing but sand at the bottom of eternity

Since my time has run out
The wind will come to carry me away
He will blow the clouds from my lifeless form
And take my soul away forever

But the rain will find you
In some shadow you will smell its breath
It will drown you too
And you will know the new longing- for death.

Yesterday was raining. Again. Found this poem pretty cool so sharing it here.
