Title:
Poetry of Rain by ~EarthMother4742The poetry of rain washes within meLike the falling notes of a lost lullabyThe sheet music disintegrating in cold strokesOf a sad memory being washed awayThe flame has eternally gone out
Only to be rekindled by a droughtMade of a sun of untold longingAnd a desert of unspoken desiresBut now it is only rainingThe sky that is my soul is overcastTo know love would be the windBlowing these clouds of depression awayI long to dream beneath this wet caressTo sooth the loneliness that erodesThe loosely stitched outline of my heartLetting loose monsters of emotions I wanted locked awayLet this rain form a riverWeaving over and under my cold skinEnclosing me in a web of a lost worldThat shall never be discovered to become the newAllow this rain to drown meTo fill my empty eyes with something to seeBesides the memoriesFor they blind my mind into thinking there is hopeLet this rainWash away the sins of my pastLet this rainCleanse me so that I may know againDon't shelter me from itFor it will seep right throughDigging and flooding and chillingTill I am nothing but sand at the bottom of eternitySince my time has run outThe wind will come to carry me awayHe will blow the clouds from my lifeless formAnd take my soul away foreverBut the rain will find youIn some shadow you will smell its breathIt will drown you tooAnd you will know the new longing- for death. Yesterday was raining. Again. Found this poem pretty cool so sharing it here.
